The Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention Departmnet of the Ho Chi Minh City police arrested Le Van Can, Nguyen Duc Minh, and Nguyen Hoang Tan for their involvement in the YouTube channel “Nguoi Dua Tin" (The Messenger), which they allege contained 6,700 videos with content “distorting” people and organizations in the political system, as well as laws and policies.
Can allegedly was the leader of the channel, with Minh and Tan serving in supporting roles. The channel had been in operation since March 2024 and had almost two million followers. The government also alleged the group profited from over 10 billion VND in ad sales.
