Thanh Hoa provincial police arrested two administrators of the Facebook page "Beat Thanh Hoa" on Oct. 17, 2025. Nguyen Van Khanh and Le Dang Duc were both arrested for "abusing democratic freedoms" linked to their sharing of a video of a local traffic dispute. In addition to "Beat Thanh Hoa", they also ran two other popular pages that shared commentary on local events. Authorities accused the two of 'posting false information to increase interactions and make money'.
