Do Van Nga to used to write for the popular Germany-based independent news website Thoibao.de., led by dissidents Le Trung Khoa and Nguyen Van Dai. Nga was arrested while in customs at Tan Son Nhat International Airport on Nov. 8, 2025. He was detained, his whereabouts unknown for nearly two months, after which he appeared in a taped broadcast denouncing Le Trung Khoa and Thoi Bao.
